Family Pictures

Gina Saltsman took our pictures back in November. I was SO happy with them! She does such a wonderful job! If anyone ever needs a photographer, let me know - she is awesome!

Gina also took our family picture with my mom and dad. Once again, she did a fabulous job!
My brother, Jardon, and his son, Paetyn.

This picture makes me laugh everytime I look at it!!

Playing in the Snow!

Yesterday I let the kids go outside and play in the snow. It is really the first time this year they have been out! They had SO much fun! It was so cute watching them!

Maddox just stood at the window and watched them. They were throwing snowballs at him - he thought it was pretty funny!

Maddox's First (and second) Haircut!!!!!

Well, we finally decided to do it! We got Maddox's hair cut! He is 8 1/2 months old, and I definitely was not ready to do this, but it was getting too long, and it was always in his face. So, here is the before picture........
Here we are at the shop!

Daddy got to cut the first piece!

Maddox did great during his haircut! He pretty much sat still for the most part! So, are you ready for the finished product?? Here goes.......

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I HATE IT!!! I just thought we would trim it up a little and that would be that. He would still look like the same little boy, right? WRONG!!! I cried all night last night - I was so upset about it! I don't really know why! It was nothing that Brandi did - it was just that he looked so different! I decided that I would give him a bath in the morning, and once it curled up a bit, I would like it much better.

Wrong again!! I still didn't like it, and neither did Lance. I felt like it looked like a bowl cut! So, we decided to just cut it again! I hate that we had to do it, but I couldn't stand another minute with his hair the way it was!

So here we are again. This time Lance just did it! Once again - he did really well!
He noticed his hair - I was waiting for him to put it in his mouth!

And now - this is what he looks like! So different, but I can get used to it!!! He's still super cute:-)

What We've Been Up To......

As most of you know, Kelsey had her tonsils and adnoids out last Friday. For a while, she was supposed to take it very easy. We tried to keep her busy by watching movies, coloring, playing the computer, etc. She did so awesome with her surgery, and she recovered so well that it was quite a challenge keeping her down. She was very ready to get up and play! She went to the doctor Thursday, and he gave the okay for her to eat whatever she wants except really hard/crunchy things like chips, popcorn, etc. She has done so awesome!!! Thanks to everyone for thinking of her during this time!!!

On a different note, here is Maddox watching Kelsey do gymnastics (before her surgery, of coarse!)
Maddox playing the piano - his is quite the musician!
Kelsey and Landon LOVE to play with their stuffed animals. Here they are with all of them on my bed - they were saving them from a tornado!

Prayer Request

Kelsey has been sick for quite a while now. Last week we took her to an ENT, and he recommended that she have her tonsils and adnoids out. The date is set for this Friday, January 9th. Please keep her in your prayers!! You can tell she doesn't feel good in this picture - she said she was freezing!! I really hope that this makes her start to feel better!!

Christmas at Mom and Dad Gutwein's

We had Christmas with Lance's mom and dad the day after Christmas. Here are a few of the grandkids enjoying time with Papa.

The birth of Christ was acted out by a few of the family members. Stu - Joseph/narrator, Liv - Mary, Lance and Tyler - wisemen. It was quite entertaining, but it was nice to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Maddox didn't feel good at all that night. He fell asleep on Nanny after dinner.

Telling stories with Uncle Robert.
Landon was so excited to finally get a Jeep!
Kelsey with her new horse (and Amy of coarse!)
Poor baby......
I think Landon is getting sleepy......

Christmas at My Mom and Dad's

We had Christmas with my mom and dad Christmas night. We got there before my brother, but the kids couldn't wait to open presents! Mom let them open their stockings, but they had to wait until after dinner to open the rest!

Maddox and Paetyn.

Christmas Morning

We got up Christmas morning and opened presents at our house. The kids were so excited to see that "Santa" had come and he ate all of the cookies and had given the carrots to his reindeer. Below are the dogs that were waiting for them under the tree when they woke up. They LOVE them!!
Maddox got a new ball in his stocking.

Kelsey was so cute that morning! She was running around being goofy - she was so excited!!
Kelsey and Landon also got roller skates from Santa. They enjoy skating around the house but are very excited for the weather to be warmer so they can go outside and skate.

Landon with his Spiderman spy stuff.
Maddox had fun opening presents for a while but he soon got hungry!
