RIP Lucky Dog!!

As much as I hate to say it, our dog Lucky passed away last night. SO sad! We knew it was going to happen, but it doesn't make it any easier. We had her for about 7 years and have all come to love her so much. She was a GREAT dog!

Just a Few....

Every year around this time I like to do family pictures. This year, it crept up on me so fast! Where did the time go? I usually get some of the kids and a family picture of all 5 of us, but that didn't happen. Which isn't too big of a deal because we had one last year, and really, none of us have changed too drastically. I was also struggling with the thought of paying a lot of money. So, after thinking about it for a while, trying to decide who to have take our pictures, I thought...."You know, I think I can do this!" So, I asked Lacie to go with me to help me (and she was so kind to do so) and this is a little of what we got. I was SO pleased!!! There were so many good ones to choose from! Who needs a professional??

Busy Busy Busy!!

It's been so long since I've updated my blog, and we've been pretty busy! There are too many pictures to post all of them, so here are just a few from the past couple of months.

Fall Festival Weekend. Such a fun weekend (minus the storm during the parade!)

Lance playing waterball with the fire department

Maddox with his new semi he got for going a whole day with no potty-training accidents!!

The boys with a few of their friends. We get together once a week, and they have a blast!! (I'll admit, so do I!)

Kelsey and Emily at the football game. The high school cheerleaders had a cheer clinic for the elementary students, and they got to cheer at one of the varsity football games.

Kelsey and Landon riding the "roller coaster" at Chuck E. Cheese

Maddox at Chuck E. Cheese

Kelsey won first place in the pumpkin contest for her catagory at school

Happy 5th Birthday to Landon!!!!

Only 1 Child?? What Will We Do??

So, Maddox is an only child 2 days a week for 2 hours while Landon is in school. He has never had to entertain himself, so this will be a big adjustment! We will have lots of fun, though, I'm sure!

He wanted his picture taken because Landon did:-)

Riding his bike

Playing with Simba

Helping me with laundry

Making a cave for Simba

Playing with his Batman toy

Sweeping the floor for me:-)

Day #2 of Preschool.....

SUCCESS!!! Landon had a MUCH better day at school on Friday!! Yay! It made the entire day more enjoyable. The first day, I had to stay with him the whole time (which I expected), but Friday I was able to leave. I was so proud of him! As a little reward, we went to the park afterward. Then Landon went to ride with Lance in the combine, which he always loves!

He wanted me to take his picture again before school:-)

A Day With Paetyn

My brother was in need of a babysitter on Friday, so Paetyn came to spend the day at our house! Overall, it was a good day. Paetyn really enjoyed playing with the kids!

He LOVES this car! I think he would play in it all day if I would let him!

Taking his first ride in the combine - Look at all of that corn!!

Watching the corn dump into the semi - so interesting!!

Landon's First Day of Preschool

Today was Landon's first day of preschool. He was very excited all morning (a good sign!). It was not a good day. I'm not even going to talk about it. It can only get better from here. Enough said.

Getting Ready for Preschool:-)

Lance and I took Landon shopping for preschool last night. It was SO fun! He just loved everything we bought him and enjoyed picking things out. This is really the first time he's been excited about school - I hope he keeps this attitude!

As soon as he got up this morning, he put on a new shirt and backpack.

New school supplies

He wanted to wear a new outfit and his backpack when we took Kelsey to school. So cute! I'm glad he's finally excited!
