Spirit of Monticello

Today the Twin Lakes gymnastics team performed at the Spirit of Monticello. They asked Kelsey's class to join them, but it wasn't required, and of course Kelsey wanted to do it. It was only Kelsey and one other little girl from her class, and Kelsey was by far the youngest. She did SO good, and it was so much fun to watch her. It was really cute! They technically cancelled the show because the rainwater on the ground would have soaked up into the mats, but the girls that were there still wanted to do it, so they performed in the grass. Thank you to everyone who came to watch her!!

Let's Go Racing!

We went to Shadyhill Speedway in Medaryville this past weekend. The kids were SO excited to watch Lynn (a friend of Lance's) race his new car. They also had their fireworks there this weekend since they were rained out the week before. Their fireworks show was awesome! It was a great night, and we all had a lot of fun!

Busy Busy Busy

So, the past couple of weeks have been pretty busy for us! I was going to make just one post of everything, but it would have been SOOOOO long, so I decided to break it up. So, here are several posts of our last few weeks! Enjoy!

Kelsey's Last T-Ball Game

Kelsey had her last t-ball game a couple of weeks ago. She had SO much fun in t-ball this year. I'm glad that she wanted to be in it! Thanks to everyone who came to her games!

Fishing With Daddy

The kids have been begging Lance to take them fishing, and we finally found time to do it! They didn't catch anything, but they had a lot of fun! I ended up taking Maddox home because it was almost impossible to keep up with him! I don't know if you've ever been to Uncle Gordon's pond, but it's definitely not baby-proof! It was fun while it lasted!

4th of July

Since it rained all day, we decided to buy a few of our own fireworks and watch them at home. My mom and dad came to watch them too. It was fun, and the kids liked it!

Go Cubs Go!!

One of my friends from high school invited me to go to a Cubs game with her and a couple of other friends this past week. It was SO much fun!! Thank you Maggie, for asking me to go with you! A BIG thanks to my aunt Debbie, mom, and Lance for watching the kids! I couldn't have gone if it weren't for you!

We ate dinner at Harry Caray's Tavern. The food was very good. The sign says welcome back because one of the Cubs players was returning from the DL.

It's SO Hot!!

Heather, Seth, Linsey, Kelsey, Landon, Maddox and I went to my aunt Claudia's to swim today. We all had a great time! The water was SO warm!! Thanks for letting us use your pool Claudia!!

Maddox got a little tired!!

Kelsey is learning to swim without floaties! She was very insistant that she didn't want her floaties on, so I let her swim withouth them for a while. She did really good!

A Great Idea for a Hot Day

The kids have been dying to go to Heather's house to swim in Linsey's pool. It finally worked out for us to go today, and they all had a blast! Thanks Heather!!

Hotel in Merrillville

We were able to go to Merrillville Wednesday evening to spend the night at the Radisson. My mom had a conference there, so the kids and I went up to stay with her. It was so much fun! The hotel is so nice, and the kids had a blast! Why do we go spend a fortune in Florida when the kids have as much fun at a simple hotel in Indiana??

The pool had a waterfall in it, which was pretty cool. The kids liked swimming under it!
